The Threads of Migration Celebrates New York Launch at Diane von Furstenberg Store
On June 4, The Threads of Migration celebrated its New York launch at the Diane von Furstenberg store. Our initiative has grown from a capsule collection into a social enterprise centered on storytelling, design, and women’s voices. The launch included a presentation of the project, a catwalk featuring the new designs, and an evening with artists, designers, supporters, and women whose stories are at the heart of the collection.
The Threads of Migration at El Museo del Barrio — La Primera Awards NYC
On May 7, we had the honor of participating in a catwalk at El Museo del Barrio in New York during La Primera Awards. Organized by Latino Magazine, the awards recognize outstanding achievements within the Latino community, celebrating Latino voices and artistry through fashion.
She Carries the World exhibition— Dupont Underground
In March, we participated in She Carries the World at Dupont Underground in Washington, DC, a dual exhibition where The Threads of Migration was presented together with Reverberations by Sylvana Burns.
WOW10 — Windows of Wisconsin October–December 2025
Threads of Migration was part of WOW10 (Windows of Wisconsin), a group exhibition in the Washington, DC area that brought together contemporary artists, designers, and creatives working across visual and textile practices.
